Time is never time at all. You can never leave without leaving a piece of youth. And all our lives are forever changed, and we will never be the same. The more you change, the less you feel. Believe, believe in me, believe. That life can chage, that youre not stuck in vain. We're not the same, we're different tonight. Tonight, so bright, tonight. And you know you're never sure, but you sure could be rightIf you held yourself up to the light,
and the embers never fade in your city by the lake, the place where you were born. Believe, believe in me, believe. In the resolute urgency of now, and if you believe thers not a chance tonight. Tonight, so bright, tonight. We'll crucify the insincere tonight. We'll make things right, we'll feel it all tonight. We'll find a way to offer up the night tonight. The indescribable moments of your life tonight. The impossible is possible tonight. Believe in me as I believe in you, tonight.
"Food's up, guys!", I yelled across the studio. After they finished playing "Drift Away" I had decided to excuse myself while Joey stayed behind to jam and help set up. I needed away time, Audrey time. I decided to go to my office and shut the door, busying myself with paperwork and pay roll, before the urge for food began to take over my thoughts. Food, I loved food, in small amounts it was a very good thing. It almost ranked with my obsession for coffee and CK1 for men, almost. I decided to call in for some pizza. I figured the guys would be hungry soon, and I was in the mood for some good ol' pizza. Soon, I heard the door ring and 4 pizzas were put into my hands. I took them back and was careful to not let the guys know that I had ordered anything. I sat down for a few minutes deciding what I wanted from each box. Cheese, Pepperoni, Meat Supreme, and Breadsticks became my choices. Sitting down with two slices of cheese pizza I called out to the guys, who came stampeding into the lounge. "Did I hear food?" "Zac, who said what about food?", Taylor questioned as Zac began rumaging through the different boxes. "Ahhh, Pizza. Nothing like Pizza in New York," "Nothing like pizza anywhere." Zac rebutted. "Hey A, I know you got my meat supreme in that pile." Joey asked. "Why yes, Joey. Just for you, actually. Just please stay away, it smells weird and I would rather not lose what is already in my stomach." "You are such a girl, Audrey." Joey replied. "Umm..gee, I wonder why. Oh yeah, because I am a girl." Hey, Zac, where's Isaac?" Taylor asked, with a mouth full of food. "ISAAC!" Zac yelled out the door. Gees, the boy has a loud voice. "Ugg, Zac, right here man. Oooh, I smell pizza." "Very observative, Ike." Taylor retorted. Isaac simply looked back and rolled his eyes at his brother. After grabbing his share of food he sat down with the rest of us. Soon, conversation between the brothers and Joey had begun and I decided to sit back and watch patiently. This was how I learned all I would ever need to know about guys, just sit and watch, never get involved. A week had passed since they first entered into my world, and we already began to click as friends. I had seen them almost every day. I think this migjt be the start to a beautiful friendship (ha, Ive always wanted to say that!) "Hey, Audrey?" Zac's voice shook me out of my thoughts and back to reality. "Would you like to go out with us tonite? Joey said that there is this really cool raver's place downtown in Long Island and we wanted to know if you wanted to join us?" I knew the place Zac was talking about, last time I went I was there for 2 seconds before I got completely overwhelmed by the amount of poeple and that whole scene. Besides, I wasn't even supposed to be able to get in there, I was a minor. "Oh God, umm..you know, I'm not so sure about that..." my voice trailed off as Joey began to speak. "Come one A, you gotta come." "Joey, I'm really not into being violated by complete strangers, and I'm not into the hwole club scene, remember? That's all you." "Oh come on, let loose once in a while...please?" Joey began to plead with me, sticking out his bottom lip and giving me his famous puppy dog face. What is it about that face that gets me? Damn, him for doing this to me. "Fine, I'll go. But if anyone tries anything, I'm gone." "It's a deal, A." After lunch the guys left and we all decided to meet here again around 10ish. I was left with Joey who was helping me clean. "I can't believe you talked me into going tonite. I have nothing to wear and I'm going to feel so out of place and they are going to think I'm a complete dork." "Wow, Audrey, chill out. It's ok. We can always find you something to wear, you aren't going to look like a complete dork and all we have to do is loosen you up a little. Look at this as fun. A night out with your good ol pal, Joey and three blonde guys who sing. That's all it is. And who knows, you might actually enjoy it." "Ok, fine. I'll calm down. But what am I going to wear? I am not a trendy, clubbing girl. I'm a jeans and tank top because it's comfortable kind of girl." "I know exactly where to find you clothes and don't worry about the cost, my treat. ok?" "Why are you so good to me?" I suddenly questioned. I mean here I was bitching at him, and he's sitting down just smiling at me and telling me that it's all gonna be ok, and he's just offered to buy me clothes. Does anyone know a guy that would do that? I don't, but I guess now, I do. "Because, Audrey, I think it's important that you get to know these guys, and I want you to be able to just have fun for once in your life. Live for one night in reckless abandon. Just once. I know life hasn't always been great, but these guys are heaven sent. These guys could get you into the business, and isn't that what you've always wanted? To be doing what they are doing?" "Yes, Joey, I do want that. But I'm not going to use them. Look, let's just get through tonite and then we can tackle tommorrow, ok?" "Deal. Let's get out of here, shall we?"
