Shamash, the Visage of Light

The apocalyptic form of the masters of this lore paints a demon in shifting patterns of shadow and pale, silvery starlight. These hypnotic images draw the eye and beguile the senses, at times hinting at subtle flashes that reflect the demon's inner thoughts. The Shamash are alluring, chimerical, deceptive, terrifying or achingly beautiful, often from moment to moment.

The Visage of Light confers the following special capabilities.
* Enhanced Mental Acuity: Does precisely what it says on the tin.
* Night Sight: The demon can see in total darkness as though it were daylight.
* Chimerical Aura: The shifting aura of light and illusions that surrounds the demon make it far easier for her to avoid incoming attacks. Other demons and thralls with the capability to pierce illusions are able to see through the aura, and can attack as normal.
* Unearthly Glamour: The demon is seductive, alluring and beguiling, making manipulation of others far easier. Other demons and thralls with the capability to pierce illusions are able to see through the glamour, and cannot be manipulated any easier than normal.

Torment
Shamash who lose themselves to their Torment are surrounded by chimerical forms that reflect the demons' hatred and despair, creating a horror show of monstrous apparitions that whirl and snap at one another in increasing ferocity depending on a being's mood.

The Visage of Light confers the following high-Torment special capabilities.
* Hypnotic Visions: The aura of twisted light and shadow surrounding the demon distracts and disquiets the mind of her foe. Would-be have to overcome their own horror before they will even contemplate attacking the demon. Other demons and thralls with the capability to pierce illusions are able to see through the aura, and can attack as normal.
* Dread Mien: The demon carries an air of monstrous menace, which would intimidate others and cow lessers into subservience.
* Chimerical Attack: The swirling illusions surrounding the demon are more than capable of attacking anyone close enough to the fallen. The chimerical beasts lash out dangerously, only ever against a single opponent at any one time, inflicting harsh aggravated damage.
* Cast No Reflection: The demon's image does not appear in a mirror, nor can it be captured in a photograph or by a video camera.
