Orders of Knighthood
There are four Orders of Knighthood within the British Empire. These are the Order of the Bath, the Order of the Thistle, the Order of the Dragon and the Order of the Emerald. These orders of knighthood represent honors granted for actions benefiting the crown. Whenever the rules call for a die roll to determine a patent of nobility, and that roll fails, another role is made, using the same eligibility to determine if an order of knighthood is granted.
If an order of knighthood is granted, then which of the four orders is determined randomly. If the recipient is already enrolled in the determined order, he is stepped up to the next rank within the order. The ranks of the orders are as follows:
|

* There can only be one grand master per order at any given time. The current holder may retire at any time, but retires to the rank of Knight and is not eligible for any further promotion within the order.
