Luxury two-bedroom condominium for rent in Surbiton, approximately 10 miles from Central London. The condo is on the third floor of a six-story elevator building (42 units), constructed of red brick in 1977. It is approximately 1,400 square feet in area and has two bedrooms, very large living room and large enclosed kitchen. The kitchen is equipped with a washer, dryer, dishwasher, and very large refrigerator.  There is one bathroom with tub, power shower and vanity with a completely separate toilet and hand basin.

There is a Queen size bed in the master bedroom and a double bed in the second bedroom. There are also two rollaway beds.

The living room has a large bay window with panoramic views across the River Thames and the grounds leading up to Hampton Court Palace. The condo is fully furnished and equipped (including a very nice teapot and electric kettle for tea lovers). The condo is furnished to a high standard with good quality carpet and drapes throughout. Contents include a Bang and Olufson TV and stereo system. A resident married couple, who will be available for assistance, manages the building.

Surbiton is a quiet and prestigious suburb approximately ten miles from Central London, and the condo is just a few minutes walk to the railway station. Fast trains to Central London take only 15 minutes and run frequently. Buses to the town center and shopping areas run about every ten minutes and there are food shops within a few minutes walk of the condo. There is a yacht club nearby as well as excellent riverside walks and gardens. Well-known beauty spots in the area include Richmond Park, Hampton Court Palace and Kew Gardens.

There is a telephone in the condo for tenants' use. However, we ask that tenants kindly use a phone card for their calls.

There are cabs from the airport to the condo. From Heathrow the charge should be approximately 30 pounds, and from Gatwick approximately 40 pounds. It is advisable to get a price quote to Serbiton as some cabs have a tendency to overcharge

The rental is $900.00 (USD) per week. We require a $200.00 deposit to make the reservation ($300.00 for 3 weeks or more), and the balance is to be paid 3 weeks prior to departure. Notes on Transportation from
Surbiton to Waterloo Station


There is good transportation from Surbiton to Waterloo station. It is just a few minutes walk to the railway station from the condo and one can purchase a daily ticket to London for 4 English pounds (approximately $6.00). This ticket is good from 9:30 a.m. through the end of the day. If you need travel prior to 9:30 a.m. the tickets cost a little more. The good thing is you can use these tickets on all the buses and underground trains in London. Waterloo is one of London's main railway stations and one has access to all other transportation over London. Trains run approximately every 15 minutes to Waterloo from Surbiton and fast trains are non-stop to London, taking only about 15 minutes.
Trains TO SURBITON FROM WATERLOO stop running about midnight; however, there are night buses (they have a big N on the front) that run FROM VICTORIA TO KINGSTON until 5:00 a.m. Kingston is only a 5 minute car ride to the flat.

For those people interested in going to Hampton Court Palace, there are two trains an hour - journey time from Surbiton just 5 minutes. Also, there are buses from Kingston, which are convenient for visiting such places as Richmond Park, Kew Gardens and the National Trust property Ham House.
