Important Dates


 

January 15– Amateur Draft begins.  At conclusion of Amateur Draft all unselected players go on waivers, to be executed by Commissioner.  After waiver period, unclaimed players are free to add.

 

February 1– Deadline for keeper declaration and farm rosters are frozen.

 

March 1— MLB Draft begins.  At conclusion of MLB draft farm rosters are unfrozen.

 

April 1 (approximately) Beginning of MLB season and official start to FLB league year. 

 

August 1– Pick trading period opens.

 

August 10 (approximately)– Trade period closes.

 

Second-to-last Monday of season 3:00 AM ET. All team rosters frozen.

 

Last Sunday in September (approximately)– MLB season finishes.  Standings finalized.

 

7 Days from End of MLB Season– Deadline to move farm eligible players back to farm.

 

October 1-7– League improvement period.  Any and all proposed rule changes or nominations for replacement should be made at this time via an e-mail to the Commish and Vice-Commishes (or to the entire league if you prefer). 

 

October 8-13– Agenda prepared and distributed for upcoming Annual League Improvement Meeting.

 

October 15 (approximately)– Annual League Improvement Meeting.  The members of the League Improvement Committee will meet to discuss and vote on all proposed changes.  All league members are welcome to attend and, if they so choose, to present their ideas personally to the Committee.

 

October 15-31– Commish finalizes all outstanding matters and rules for upcoming season.  If necessary, replacement managers are selected and officially put in place.  League constitution is updated to reflect all changes.

 

November 1– Trade period reopens.
