Yes, I did say you had to keep a spot open. I said it was as if you had drafted him, and we skipped you in that round (to signify your taking him). By filling that roster spot, it was like dropping Watters. It seems pretty clear to me, but I remember pointing it out as well. There were a few players not in the system at the time of the draft, and I told everyone just to leave a spot open until they are added, and if indeed they wanted to get someone else, they relinquished the rights to said player. If you still had the rights to Watters, you wouldve been carrying an extra player on all of us all season.
