Rob and I had a great time at the Grand Bahama Islands! We flew in to Freeport and stayed at the Sheraton at the Port De Lacaya. Let me tell you, if we are ever invited to a destination wedding again, we are so there!
We had great weather. It did rain, but surprisingly, not whenever we needed to be outside. In addition to relaxing on the beach, we went snorkeling in the ocean at a reef that was maybe a quarter or half mile from the island. We saw beautiful fish. I even saw a barracuda! Fortunately, it was at least 15 or 20 feet away and did not come after us. Here are some pictures from the trip, though, not of the snorkeling. The camera isn't waterproof. :(
Here is Rob when we arrived and were on our way to the hotel. We got a limo ride! The view is of the airport in the back.

Here we're looking Southwest or so from the beach. It had rained that morning.

Here is a view of the Sheraton hotel that we stayed at.

Here is a parasailor we watched. You will never catch me in one of those, but it was sure neat to see.

Evidence of me in the Bahamas!.

More evidence of me on the beach. Here are my toes. I thought the clouds with the rain in the background was really pretty.

Evidence of Rob on the beach!.

Here is the palm tree that was outside our suite window. We did not have an ocean view obviously, but it was a nice view of the loading dock nonetheless.

Here is the setup for the wedding. Look! Steelkettle drums!

The steelkettle drums playing wedding music. It actually was really cool to hear.

Rob's friend, Robert, escorting one of the bridesmaids.

Here is the bride, Sarah, walking down the isle in bare feet on the sand.

Here are Jeff and Sarah taking their wedding vows.

Here we are leaving the Bahamas. We actually were sad to go, but what a great time we had.
