Case Study 20

Color: Bay
Markings: None

Here is a nice, non-descript bay gelding. Hopefully you were not tempted to say he has a "black blaze". Another horse color site I've got on my Links page explains why some horses have darker faces than the rest of their coats.

Morgan gelding named Dustin Dakota. Picture taken by Marilyn at BYU. Dustin is a wonderful horse. The best thing he did for me was getting rid of my bad habit of heavy hands. He would go faster as he felt more pressure on his mouth which was the exact opposite effect that I wanted. After I rode him, I was trusted with more sensitive mouthed horses. I will be forever grateful to this little guy.
