For many sustance user, opiates represent the pinnacle of euphoria and relaxation. Opiates are basically any drug derived from the opium poppy (papavera somniferum). Below is list of some well known opiates and ones that are very enjoyable (click name for more info):

             Heroin
             Morphine
             Codeine
             Tramadol
             Hydrocodone (Vicoden)
             Oxycodone (Percocet)
             Opium
             Meperidine (Demerol)
             Fentanyl

There are many more opiate and opioids out there but I can't remember the names (coming soon in updates). The only actual opiates are Morphine and Codeine. The rest are known as opioids (mentioned above) and are either synthetic or semi-synthetic.

As far as the effects are concerned, each opioid varies, but all cause euphuria and sedation at the right dose. Many are also easy to OD on so watch it and check more than one site for recommended doses.
