Your Forgotten Underwear

You know how you do your laundry and you always find that one pair of underwear that you just don’t like?
Maybe its too tight, too loose, too pink, to see-through, too uncomfortable, too something….
You keep it, maybe wear it for a few hours before realizing it just doesn’t feel right, then you toss it back in your laundry pile
Put it through the wash again
Fold it up with your other clothes
Put it in the drawer
Tell yourself you’ll wear it again sometimes
You push it to the side every day looking for another pair
You wish it would just disappear so you wouldn’t have to make excuses for keeping it
Its like it looks up at you, tired and weary, waiting for you to finally pick it
It knows its inferior to all your other underwear
Even that Wall mart crap that’s ripped at the seams
You pick it over that pair
Why notthrow it out?
It holds some kind of power over you
Like its an old friend, its seen too much of you to just let it go
So you keep it around
Someday you’ll wear it I guess
Give it its 2 minutes of glory
Then remember why you don’t wear that pair and throw it in the laundry
Close the closet and you can forget about them for a few more days, until laundry day
Laundry day is when you have to take them out again, wash them and fold them
You actually have to physically touch them, then you think again, why do I still have these
But you can’t let them go
I know to much about you, I’ve been intimate with you
So you keep them around
I’ll wait until you want me again
