There was a time when every other singer was trying his hand at acting. But with the coming of Internet the things have changed drastically in the country and now every second singer is trying his hand at making a web-site of his own. After Junaid Jamshaid and Junoon, Sajjad Ali has decided to launch himself in the net via his own web-site. Though the cyber address has not been finalized yet, there are rumors that it may either be sajjadali.com or even tansain.com. What one can't understand is why Sajjad would even bother to compare himself with Tansain for he is something neither Sajjad nor any other singer can ever hope to be.

Everyone's singing to a new tune these days including our illustrious film actresses who, it seems, are welcoming the winds of change in Islamabad with open arms. Anjuman is the first one from showbiz to flaunt her star status while putting in a good word for a new regime. At a recent tete-tete with the Press, she said she is proud to belong to a fauji khandan. Taking up her cue, Hina Shaheen has also come forth with a statement in which she says that if the mudslinging on her persona is not stopped by her adversaries (?), she will approach the army for injustice. Given time, a lot more of such statements on behalf of our glamour gals are sure to be on their way. So keep your eyes and ears wide open.

Cooking a storm

Guess who's into cooking - Rubina Ashraf. Well it's not a big surprise because with a husband and young children the lady of the house has no choice but to become a good cook. She gave ample evidence of this in a cookery show on TV recently, presenting a mouth-watering dish to the viewers. So when a spice company invited her to be the guest of honor to taste the recipes cooked with their National masala by the chef of PC, she seemed the right choice, though she did arrive a bit late. Soobia, the Foods PRO seemed to agree with the choice as the ladies crowded the artiste after the program to ask he questions and take her autograph. What the artiste is really into these days is the drive to get the money owed by Faisal Sherjan, to the producers who made serials for NTM in the recent past. Rubina is one of the victims as she produced Pas-e-Aaina.

Strange ways

Strange are the ways of the world, still stranger are the ways of the film world. Till yesterday, Laila was famous for her fiery and sloppy behavior and today - after a considerable cut down in her filmi value, she is forced to do whatever is offered to her in order to save her sagging career. Even if it means changing up her old ways. The fact is that Laila has decided to make her mark on the silver screen. So, the perky lass have signed big projects like Hassan Askari's Julfain and Zahoor Hussain's Guddi Gudda. She has been vowed to do some very 'Powerful' characters in both the projects. But we have nothing but sympathy for Laila dear because she may have a really tough time in competing with the heroines.

Today she is the queen of Jungle Queen, another movie by Syed Noor and she has really given some stunning looks in it. Now that Saima has won the battle with her weight, it's time for her to give the other Lollywood ladies sleepless night.
