Mizuno Ami is Sailor Mercury and the first ally Usagi meets, she appears in chapter 2. Ami is very smart and I guess you could say she is the "brain" of the inner senshi (come on her IQ is said to be 300!), she has this really useful mini computer that she uses whenever they might be in trouble or can't figure something out. Ami's mom is a very succesful doctor and her dad left to do art abroad and never came home =( (poor Ami!) Although in the anime Ami is cosiderd to be the least effective, and can be overlooked, the manga is a bit different. She is (as always) very dedicated to school, and can be very competative about it at the same time. As Sailormercury her attacks are not the weakest infact her attacks are rather good, but she is often misjudged by her outward appearances (her attitued towards school).
