| **Background Story** Lollipop Lust Kill | ||||||||||
| Most people outside of Toledo, Ohio/Northeast area of the U.S. may or may not know who Lollipop Lust Kill are but they are soon to find out. Recent additions to the Artemis Records family (Label mates of Kittie and Crossbreed) they have just released their national debut, My So Called Knife. The most interesting thing about them getting signed is how it actually happened. One of the "High-Ups" for Artemis was bounching around listening to music on MP3.com and just happened to hear LLK. Shortly after that he saw a live show of theirs in New York. And well, the rest is history. Since you yourself may not have heard of the group until now you might think that they are just some slapped together overnight group like many of the "Pop" groups out there today. But if you were to think that, you would be very, very wrong. These 6 young men have been tearing up the lolcal Toledo music scene for over 6 years now. They have an extremely strong following in their "Native Lands" if you will. And with the help of sites like MP3.com, which they have over 160, 000 plays as of this date, they have been able to "Spread The Disease" that is their music (their love) with others all over the world. With the release of Motel Murder Madness, their first full length L.P. in early 2000 and the lesser known "demo" E.P. Candy Canes and Razorblades hordes of people have fallen victim to the "Disease". Over the last few years they have been heavily touring, mainly in the Ohio and surrounding area but also making trips to New York and as fars down as Georgia. But know with the help of Artemis they are now the opening act on Coal Chamber's "Dark Days Tour" in support of their recent release of the same name. LLK headed out on the road a few weeks ago with the loving wishes of their friends, families, fans, and all other local Toledo area groups. So if you still haven't felt the effect the music that LLK makes then I suggest that you go to MP3.com and download a few of their songs and expierience the future of music..... With a kick to the face they prove once and for all that "Murder Rock" is here to stay! |
