FREEDOM IS NEVER FREE
Uncle Lou's
Editorials
Is war really necessary? Why is the world seemed to hate the U.S. and support Iraq's Saddam Hussein?

The purpose of the U.N. is to police the world and keep it at peace.  All member countries regardless of type of government and religion have subscribed to the universal law of human rights and dignity. The U.N. is supposedly, a watchdog preventing any nation from exploiting its own citizens or, taking advantage of neighboring nations.

Unfortunately, the U.N. is made up of countries whose interests are something else. These countries are themeselves run by tyrants. They joined the U.N. to exploit the organization for their own selfish purposes.

Without the U.S. and its principles of democracy keeping the balance of power in equilibrum, the world would be dominated by the likes of
"Hitler", Saddam Hussein and other fanatical religious leaders. These leaders will, with no second thought, exterminate other races outside of their own, and in the process, will not hesitate to destroy the ecological balance of our planet just so they can rule "Supreme".

Why then, despite Saddam Hussein's records of countless crimes, a great number of people here and around the world  seemed to support him? This evil genie of Baghdad must be stopped and held accountable for all the crimes he have committed against his own people, against nature and against the world.

Freedom is never free! If you are not willing to fight for it at any cost, you might as well join Saddam and live under his rule. But then that's one of the many curses and blessings of democracy, anyone, even, has the right to be a grand idiot!
