| *Ed. Note: These are no particular order of how they were performed, only in how I thought of them.* 8 Line Story: While usually this game is usually really funny, this time it just seemed to lag something. But props to Brian for making the first given line make sense and to Kerry for connecting the beginning and end parts. Mark, I think you've learned the true meaning of improv. As I said eariler, because this wasn't at normal par, it seemed to set a slight tone for the night. Dialects: Cortney, I need to start with you because you pull this game off every time. I think part of this comes from the fact you realize where others haven't switched to the right dialect and make some statement as to inform the audience that yes, you too are in on the joke that the new dialect didn't go over perfectly. Kerry, the valley girl was great. I'm not sure whether it was how you did it or the fact that this high-pitched girl voice is coming from you - I think it's a little of both. And your Southern dialect was equally decent. The more slow parts in this game seem to come from when the people don't know the dialects, but if it's only one or two it just makes it all that more funny. Three or four, especially in a row, really makes the game slow down. But getting at that, Brian, congratulations on helping them out when they stumbled on the Finnish (I think that was it). ABC: First off, I have now been enlightened that P comes after I in the alphabet Silly me! The suggestion of the church was great and Andrew and Lauren, you two were great to pickup on that when you could. It made the game so much better than when a person has to revert to a name. This game always goes quickly and so there isn't much to say. Though, this game isn't that entertaining when you guys don't screw it up. Suggestion, do three or four people in the game so it doesn't go in order of who gets what letter and it's more spontaneous, but everyone still has to keep track of the next letter - or just put Tiffany in. Word On, Word off: Kerry, you came and went off stage a couple of times when your word was only said once. On the other hand, you picked up on the "Do-not" extremly well. I don't think the audience expected that. To the others, congratulations on keeping track of your words. Jason, nice job on getting some way for Tiffany to get on and off stage. Overall, though, gross, gross suggestion. Show Me That: Andrew, while it's cool you passed over some of the easy possibilities to 'show,' sometimes they're needed to pick up the pace and break up the hard ones and get the audience into it more. But overall, nice calling. Cortney, very nice pick up on the "Back to the Future." I'm wondering though, how you got Einstein, but not Doc? Which leads to Mark, Michael was the actor, but still AWESOME thinking on the 'time travel' suggestion! Lauren, nice pick with Brian for the hair. Brian, what did you do? Now you look like Mark. And that's all I'm saying. Split Screen: Brian, you can pull the entire roll instead of sheets, but if you did, it wouldn't have been as funny. Cortney, nice tie between the two scenes. Perfect for what you had 'your room' set up as. I was wondering when and how they'd connect. Reminding me, the two scenes need to be connected a little faster because it's the interaction that is so funny. Ashley, chocolate milk - disgusting! But amusing. Wrong: Question first, Tiffany, is this pay back on Mark for his guitar work on Sounds Like... last week? Either way, I think you should have made Mark do another reaction to the blender after the food one because that one didn't connect. You should have gone until he died. Brian, WRONG hair, RIGHT suggestion of siamese twins. I have to say, the thought of either Mark or Brian, or espesially them as one, as president terrifies the shit out of me. Literaly, where's the bag? Contact: First, I'm ashamed to be part of the audience at some points because we're so fucking lame and feel like we need to be onstage, but no, we don't, because we're stupid and don't know how to control ourselves. But, despite that, Laruen, nice play on it. And Mark, nice play off Lauren playing off it. Ashley, usually the ways for people to touch or the reasoning behind them are stupid, but I loved yours last night. You used the story very well to touch/talk. As did all of you at the end. Mark, your Fragglerock walk was great. 80's tv foreva! 151: Jason, seeing as usually Layton's in this one, way to replace him. (By the way, where was he? Or Brooke or Alec, they've been gone for the past two?) Lauren, good job on the headstands. I've noticed that in this game above all others the physical stuff makes it more funny because as the time goes down, you still have to do it, but faster, and that alwys leads to chaos. Which is also proved by Jason and his jumjpin/running across the stage. I'm amazed at how you guys time this game! So congratualtions to all of you on that because they all fit extremely well. Especially the five and one second scenes. Coming Home Late: I have to start with Mark. NO, its not anything bad - it's usually not good to show how frustrated someone can get, but in this case it just made it even funnier. Really, you did really well for what was given to you. But if they say it's not bees, don't ask twice. Tiffany, I'm glad I wasn't your parents dealing with your early teens, because if those years were anything like what you did, I'd have you on prozac to shut you up. For what you were given, you did well realizing that this wasn't normal at all. Cortney, man you picked it up fast - good job. Which is, in part, due to good work on Ashley's and Andrew's parts. Jason, nice add ins. Andrew, thanks for repeating the 'hummin-nerd' to death for Mark's sake. Slide Show: This one might not be so much on the slides as I found myself paying more attention to Jason's accent, well, until Kerry and Lauren decided to do their own thing on stage. Kerry, are you sure you're still single? Overall, this game saved the show and always seems to be a good closer. Nice thinking on making the slide move, that just made it better. To all of you, nice working with the audience as this was one time I think it worked. Mark, you might want to mask your face in scenes like this as it was obvious that you wanted in on the Lauren/Tiffany/Kerry action. There isn't much else to say on this one because like I said, it stole the show. Couldn't have been better. |
