Gaylenggua
Well, well, as you may know that I’m going to make-turo to you the rampant
and versatile language that had spurt-out from the tiny bubbles, the GAY LENGGUA.
This lenggua francia had come up with so many evolutions that all major languages make-sama-sama into one.
Why is it important? Because of the prominence of the third homo-sapien being
in this mundo, kailangan natin make-sabay-sabay for us to make-sikat and the
stuff like that davaaaah!
Why we have to study or use it? For us to make-alam what the gayish community
make-sabi-sabi in every conversations they have, malay mo, they make-tsismis
na pala without knowing tayo na palang ang pinag-uusapan.
What do you think? Cguro you make-isip-isip pa, pero am sure you’re going
enjoy this ganito ganyan...davaah!
To start with:
1. YOU MUST KNOW WHAT TERMS YOURE GOING TO USE.
The main characteristic of making-gamit this lingo is by using the gayish words. Some had been adopt to other local or foreign dialects and language or anything na ganito ganyan basta mabigyan kahulugan o kagandahan ang sentence na gagamitin.
Example:
hoi ate, hindi na ako sasama kasi wala na me anda.
[ the word anda refers to the word pera; the word anda is synonymous to the words like salapi, kwarta, and datung ]
hoi ate, hindi na ako sasama kasi wala na me kwarta o kahon
[ in this case, the person implies the phrase kwarta o kahon similar to anda
which makes no difference at all.
Pinahaba lang niya ang sentence making-gamit the phrase kwarta o kahon which
is a game show hosted by Pepe Pimentel. ]
2. YOU MUST KNOW WHAT TERMS SOUNDS ALIKE.
Like the first one, making-gamit the gayish words is more on making-gamit narin words that are homonyms or the words that are sound alike even meron man o walang connection sa main idea or words na ginagamit.
Example:
Hoi ate, hindi na ako sasama kasi andalucia na ako
[ in this case, the person refers the word andalucia to pera, salapi, kwarta o datung which we discuss earlier, but take note to the suffix –lucia. The suffix –lucia does not imply a meaning but in a way it sounds off like lose or loose. Ergo, the sentence would be mean like this : hoi ate! Hindi na ako sasama sayo kasi wala na akong pera. Gets mo?! ]
hoi ate, hindi na ako sasama kasi andalucia na ako, unless i-Sherly Fuentes mo ako ng anda.
[ since you make-alam na the other terms we use like anda and andalucia, lets
make-pansin naman with the name used in this sentence, Sherly Fuentes. The name
used does not imply the actress but the sound it has in the first name: Sherly
as in to share. Ergo, the sentence would be mean like this: hoi ate, hindi na
ako sasama sayo kasi wala na akong pera unless na pahihiramin mo ako…..gets
mo?! ]
[ since the word share is the communal term, you can make-palit instead of Sherly
Fuentes to Cher Calvin….o davaah! Or Cherie Gil to match-up the duo
3. YOU MUST KNOW WHAT TERMS ARE FOREIGN.
Since English and Tagalog ang main words, meron din ibang words na pwedeng i-supply in-exchange to the common words na ginagamit to make-it kakaiba. Some may be regional dialects or international languages.
Example:
A : Na-sightzung mo ba ang etenchi libro?
B : Dundeska ko ata naka-place….
[ in this case, halos apat na language ang inadopt natin. To start with: sightzung for the word nakita, inadopt natin ang suffix na –zung to sound it like German: etenchi for the word aking, yung suffix na –chi to sound it like Chinese; dundeska for the word doon, yung suffix na –deska for Japanese and you must pronounce it in a Japanese way to make it legal and lastly the naka-place, of course for the English. ]
4. YOU MUST KNOW WHAT TERMS ARE MISCELLANEOUS.
Example:
Automatic push the button na siyang panalo ng palayok with matching flying oven toaster.
[ in this case naman, the person is trying to make-haba the sentence pero actually the main idea of it is short. Ergo, the sentence would be easily mean like this: At siya na ang nanalo sa patimpalak / palaro na ito. See how big the difference is?! ]
5. YOU MUST KNOW WHAT TERMS TO USE ACCORDING TO THEIR DEGREE.
Example:
A : ang chaka naman ng gawa mo!
B : eh anong tawag naman sa gawa mo, que horror!
[ the two persons in this dialogue are trying to make-compare on each others’ works. They’ve used the word chaka and phrase que horror in substitute for the word pangit. But take note, they used it according to degree. Here’s a set of words according to their degree for you to make-intindi this example: ]
pangit = chaka
chaka = first degree
ugly ducking = second degree
halimaw = third degree
que horror = superlative degree
[ other words may morph like: sungit: wang fezlak; sungak; monster; kurimaw: Godzilla; tae and to name some. ]
6. YOU MUST KNOW THAT CONSISTENCY WORKS.
Example:
Well, well, well wishing well and Christmas bells, eto na ulit tayo sa grandiyosa fabulosa karosa ng mga chikan galore sa mga tindahan at tahanan.
[ in this case, the person just want the consistency of words used for aesthetic
sake. But the main idea is nothing to do with the words used. Its just like
in no. 4, trying to make-haba lang the sentence. Ergo, the sentence means: here
we come again for our another chikan galore. Gets?! ]
And now, you’ve learn some of the main rules in making-gamit this lingo.
Basta ang main goal ay maintindihan at mabigyan ng thought ang gagamitin na
sentences thur making-gamit the words or terms of the gayish world. Everything
and anything will do basta ma-justify mo dun sa sentences mo. There are no grammatical
rules here as long as it is consistent.
Here are some sentences for you to make-intindi:
oi bakla! For ur info, nag-mary-went-to-town yun ottoko ko sa balay namin
at take note post-it note! Nakilala na ni mother goose rhymes! Well ok lang
sa kanya basta wag lang make-pabaya ng educational career.
[ oi bakla! Pumunta na yung boyfriend ko sa bahay at alam mo ba? Nakakilala
na ng nanay ko! Ok lang daw sa kanya basta huwag papabayaan ang pagaaral. ]
kailan ba tayo punta-verde sa Providence ng mudang mo? Eh 48 years na tayong
naghihitay! When are we make-punta ba?
[ kailan ba tayo pupunta sa probinsya ng nanay mo? Eh ang tagal na nating naghihitay!
Kailan ba tayo pupunta? ]
Sino etenchi ang ottoko na ito na kinalaunan ay napa-showbiz linggo na najuntis
aneklebels ang jowa-ers at nagkaroon na ng tiyanak.
[ sino itong lalake na kinalaunana ay napabalitang nabuntis daw yung girlfriend
at nagkaroon ng anak. ]
