MUSIC STUFF
Well, like I said, one of my favorite things is music.  One of my favorite pasttimes is going to concerts.  I've been to many, though it's probably not something to brag about.  Granted I'm no groupie, but I get around to my share of shows.  I don't know. There's just something about live music I guess.  It creeps into your soul and consumes your blood.  I love that feeling.  OK, that was my sorry attempt to be deep and poetic.  Pathetic, I know!  And also like I mentioned before, I LOVE going to see 715.  There's a link to their home page on the page I made about them.

Music Festivals
---I have a love for outdoor music festivals.  I've been to
Rock Fests 94, 95, 98-2001.  These are definitely the place for a good time, especially as I got older.  OK, so the artists are a little washed up, (do I really need to see Air Supply FIVE times?!) but they still have pretty good shows.  I guess it's just the spirit of the party that keeps everything alive.

---I also went to my first
Ozzfest the summer of 2001 in Alpine Valley, WI (the site of Stevie Ray Vaughan's last concert back in '90.)  I was really impressed with Union Underground and Disturbed; the newer "rock" bands were a little weak.  Ozzy with Sabbath was fun, but you can tell he's definitely done a few too many lines.  Nothing prepared me for Manson though.  Wow!  Great music layered with extravagant theatrics and crowd captivation!  Couldn't ask for anything better.  I'm hoping to go again this year, but I guess that depends on if I can afford it.

---I also went to Wango Tango in Canterbury Park, MN in September.  This featured Loverboy, Eddie Money, Kansas, and Styx.  Kinda cheesy, but my friend Nikki and I LOVE Tommy Shaw.  I think we'd do anything just to get within twenty feet of him, the cute widdo guy!  (I even offered to show my boobs to some gross guy for a pick and he said, "No, I don't think so.  This is a Styx pick."  Hmph!  The nerve!)
