I've been toying with this for a long time, and I think it's finally time to accept something; this site is just not as good as it used to be. Since about the middle to end of season 2, my interest in the show has steadily declined. I don't like the way there are so many characters now, I don't like the way some characters are developing [like Rogue. The reason I preferred her from her counterpart was that she wasn't all angst-factory and was coming to terms with her mutation. Now she's just a carbon-copy of comicsverse Rogue] and, most of all, I don't like the way the 'teenagers' aspect is slipping to the wayside. I like the fact that they're all in high school, trying to hide their mutation. It holds a great appeal to me. But now... I don't know. I'm just not as interested as I used to be.
Also, this site is quite underdeveloped. Time was when I could be satisfied with the simple layout, simple information. Unfortunately, that time has passed. There are some totally AMAZING X-Evo sites around that MLS will never measure up to. This site is rarely updated because I find it so hard to access any episodes whatsoever [Evo is on once a week where I live and it's only up to Shadow Dance] and when it is, it's usually just with links.
Let's get one thing straight. This site will stay open. For as long as GeoCities offers free web-hosting, MLS will live. If I am emailed any fanfiction, then I will still post it as an update. However, it's doubtful that, at least for the next few months, any new non-fanrelated non-linkage content will appear.
I'm sorry about this, but you must understand something; I'm a girl fairly early in my teens trying to run five websites, write countless fanfiction, maintain the 98% I get in my exams each year and have some form of demeted social life beside. There was a time, a couple of years ago, where MLS was my top priority. It's sad to say, but that time has passed. I've become dissatisfied with the show, dissatisfied with the site and dissatisfied with my lack of knowledge of either. I made the shrine because I loved Evo and I loved the fanfiction that came with it. Both, IMHO, have dropped in quality, and I just can't bring myself to care as much.
The site is not fully dead. It will never be fully dead. It's just sleeping.
