Zephon was the fifth vampire ‘son’ created by Kain to lead his armies.  He was granted the Dark Gift of mist by his master, and had the ability to climb on walls using the claws in his hands and feet.               

Given the Chaos armor by Kain, Zephon’s forces were assigned to ‘deal with’ the Cathedral to the west of the Pillars.  Through cunning and stealth, Zephon had some of his forces sneak inside and shut off the mighty organs whose sound was debilitating to vampires.  With those dealt with, Zephon personally led the charge that broke the defenses.  The Zephonim feasted well that night.

After this battle, the six Lieutenants met up to discuss their exploits as usual after years of warfare.  Here, Dumah’s boastings of how great he was, which were more than likely exaggerations, irritated both Rahab and Zephon.  Rahab was wise enough to keep his views to himself, but Zephon, eager for a challenge and a fight, decided to voice his opinion, challenging Dumah to combat there and then.  Zephon had bitten off more than he could chew, and was beaten, the last noises he heard before he fell into unconsciousness being the mocking laughter of his brothers.

 Zephon is more laid back and relaxed than his other brothers, and is even more sarcastic (sometimes even rivaling Kain or Raziel).  He is constantly looking for a fight in which to prove himself, either to Kain, his older brothers, or whomever else he has on his priority list.
