Raikus

 Captain -General of the Vampire Hunters

        “I shall not rest until every last Vampire in Nosgoth has been destroyed.”

Raikus was born into the aristocracy of the city state of Meridian.  Hence, his earlier years were ones where he knew none of the suffering of others less fortunate who lived in such times.  Despite being of royal birth, he was far from the ruling line, and in all reality would never become Princeps.  This in mind, he chose to take up the good fight and became a Vampire Hunter.

Quickly proving himself worthy of being a Hunter during his training, Raikus became renowned during his earlier years for being merciless and vindictive towards the Vampires – this was proven when he was assigned to lead a company of Vampire Hunters into Vampire territory.  This he did, coming across a Vampire encampment shortly after crossing the ever changing border.  Striking in the daylight, their assault was swift and brutal.  He left none alive.

After this heroic feat, Raikus’ career continued to flourish, until eventually he was brought before the Captain-General Svenn, who appointed him to coordinate the companies to the west.  Two years later, after learning that Svenn had fallen during the early days of the Siege of the Ancient Sarafan Stronghold, Raikus became Captain-General, elected in by a council of peers.

Raikus is headstrong and proud, and utterly ruthless when dealing with his enemies.  He is also wary and mistrustful of the Seraphan, still remembering their past occupation of Nosgoth when others have long forgotten and even forgiven in some cases.  He is also a traditionalist, and thus far has refused to even consider an oath of loyalty to the Queen of Willendorf.
