Serris is the Princeps and ruler of the city state of Meridian.  He earned the position when his father died of old age, and has been in office for over a decade.  He is no warrior; instead his battlefield is the political battlefield, where he is a master at the art of twisting and bending words to his will.  Under his rule, Meridian has seen some successes against the Vampires, and has even been adopted by the Vampire Hunters as their headquarters - though this is just as likely to the fact Serris and Raikus are related as it is to the city's proximity to the front lines.  Serris is an aloof and arrogant man who hold himself above all others amongst his people.  He is a believer in the long standing tradition of men ruling and waging war, and is thus one of the main opponents towards Valerie, Queen of Willendorf, taking up the crown or leader of all Humanity.
