CREATURES OF DARKNESS
The following is a brief treatise for both sides on the other inhabitants of Nosgoth’s plains, mountains and forests. Long have their been these kind of creatures in some way, shape or form on Nosgoth, as far back as recorded Human history. These beasts care little for the power struggle raging between Human and Vampire; they do not discriminate between either race when choosing their prey or their next meal. The largest concentration of these monsters is in the living hell hole known as Dark Eden, a land twisted and corrupt, covered in rivers of flowing lava. In the centre of this dark land is a large fortress built around a single tower – who built this or why has long been forgotten (Kain probably being the only one who may have knowledge).
Demons

The Demons are horrifying creatures. Some are like large wolves, preying on the highways linking both Human and Vampire regions to one another. Others are much larger and more dangerous. The types of Demons encountered are far too numerous to be mentioned here; suffice to say Kain’s refusal to martyr himself long ago created a rift between the Demon realm and that of Nosgoth, allowing the Demons to enter into Nosgoth in larger numbers. Armed with vicious claws and sharp canine-like teeth for the most part, the larger ones standing twice to three times the height of a Human, a Demon is a vicious enemy not to be underestimated. Most of the Demons congregate around Dark Eden, though some venture out into the surrounding lands – often as if there were some other force guiding their actions…
Mutants

It is hard to say what the creatures referred to by all on Nosgoth as ‘mutants’ were before their horrific transformation. Some were Human, others various breeds of animals scattered throughout Nosgoth. More again were born mutated, and duly outcasted from their original society. These beasts have a single desire: kill whomever they can and consume their flesh, Human or Vampire. The creation of the mutants occurred when Kain refused to sacrifice himself to restore the Pillars of Nosgoth. His refusal threw the land into chaos and began to corrupt and destroy the land of Nosgoth. The first real signs of this were in the mutation of numerous creatures in Nosgoth, and the birth defects shortly after. Revolting creatures, no mutants looks wholly like the other. They bear no weapons, and attack with teeth, claw, or whatever else they can.
