| He stood in the innermost sanctum of the southern sarafan stronghold. The screams of his companions sounding inhumanly loud in his ears. Raziel drew his blade and walked for the door. To hell with Mortanius orders. Blue and yellow lightning escaped the eyes of his fanged, serpentine weapon, sensing its wielders anger and the imminent prey. Just as he reached the door, the demon threw it open, pulling the door off its hinges and back through the hallway he had just walked. It reeld in shock, apparently suprised that Raziel, too, wielded a reaver. -------------------------------------------------- Raziel was taken aback. He had wielded the reaver if life? His story became more tangled and confusing the more he learned of it. He felt the shock of displacement as that other blade neared. A fear more profound than anything he had ever felt entered him then. That blade was the sign of his tomb. He could feel it. And it scared him. --------------------------------------------------- The shadowed figures yellow eyes widened in confusion. "This is not how it is supposed to pay out..." He whispered to himself in a voice with an unmistakably noble accent. "Raziel. The sarafan Raziel. He should not wield the reaver. Yet here he stands. Reaver obviously in his hands." Kains expression changed suddenly to one of realization and horror. "My God. He didn't. Moebius is trying to stop us. And I cannot keep that from happening. Not unless I take the Blood Reaver from Raziel. And that, I surely cannot do. Not yet." --------------------------------------------------- The two Reavers met, Blood and Soul. The ring of metal on metal filling the room as the adamantite weapons clashed. The Raziels came face to face. The living snarling with fury and the undead growling with rage. A sidelong swipe by the Blood Reaver sent the Soul leaping back. He then leapt forward with a downward chop. Somehow, Blood managed to block the attack. One that would have cloven his head for certain. Sending in into an upwards arc, launching Soul's blade harmlessly wide. While his opponent was recovering from his blocked attack, Blood stabbed forward, hoping for Soul's gut. I'll finish when I've finished writing it in my notebook. |
| The story continues from near the end of Soul Reaver 2 in an altered timeline. So don't be yelling at me! As this progresses it goes to refereing to the Raziel's by which blade they wield. The dashes refer to a character switch as well. |
