Emma Jane Harris Ward
Emma Jane Harris was born June 25, 1854 in DeKalb, Illinois, daughter of Tunnis Harris and Ellen Morris. She married John Nelson Ward on December 3, 1870 in Black Hawk County, Iowa.
Emma married Donald McMurchie following John Nelson Ward's death in 1894. At the time of John's death, Emma was pregnant with their 11th child, Mabel Ward (Dwyer).
Emma died May 15, 1907 in Wakonda, Clay County, South Dakota.
