The Reiki Attunement Technique within the context of a magical ritual. It works. Open yourself to a sense of limitless possibilities, and this exactly what is needed to attain or give the attunement.

Diane Stein in her groundbreaking book on obtaining free Reiki attunements via visualization alone for yourself or a similar system as I described below gave the English speaking world Reiki in a non-commercial a fashion as possible. Now with the Internet becoming cheaper and more extensively utilised as a globally accessible communication and educational tool, this valuable information must also be passed on free of charge. This is my belief, and this is what I shall do. So be it.

I recieved ("paid for") formal and certified Reiki I and II attunements in 1987, and that training that I received said that in order to pass attunement you must have been attuned by a "Master".

I disagree. I have modified the following Reiki Attunement Process from a document that took me a long time to find. I know the modifications are sound. I know they work. I obtained my Master III Attunement via Diane Stein's book. All I can tell you is that this shit works. Just promise me you will never charge money to give attunements. REIKI belongs to All.

For if your intention (will) is to be attuned, then you will be. If your intention is to attune another, then you shall.

Seat your friend comfortably in a straight back chair.

Have them close their eyes. Prior to beginning, let them know that when they feel you put your hands on their shoulders at the beginning of the attunement that they raise their hands palms together fingers extended and pointing upward, at about the level of the heart.

"Raise energy"- intend Reiki (KI or KIA, as It is Known in Chaos Magic), the Universal Life Force to infuse you. Banish the area around you walking counterclockwise around your friend or mentally and cast your magic circle.

At this point you place your hands lightly on their shoulders. Now it is appropriate for you to offer a prayer or invoke the Kia, Lifeforce of the Universe. You may also invoke the DAI KO MIO a Reiki Master Level Symbol.

Open and align the chakras. Draw or visualize CHO KU REI from the top of the head, over the entire back down to the base of the spine. Settle again with hands on shoulders and flow Reiki into your friend for a moment or two. When ready, draw the DAI KO MIO in a like fashion, from the top of the head, over the back, down to the base of the spine. This draws the chakras into alignment and into perfect focus, this opens the channel from heaven, through the body, down into the earth. Return hands to the shoulders.

Permanently open the crown chakra. Move your hands from the shoulders to the crown of the head (at the location of the crown chakra), in the "prayer position" but instead of pointing up, tilt your hands forward so that the fingers point forward. Now open them like a book, with the intent that this is opening the crown chakra. Return hands to shoulders and flow. When you're ready, trace or visualize, the CHO KU REI, SEI HE KI, HON SHA ZEN SHONEN, (and ONLY for Master Level attunements, add the DIA KOH MIO as well) into the opened crown chakra. Visualize a line of force into the chakra, seeing it ground the three (or four) symbols all the way down the spinal channel and attach at the sacrum permanently. Return hands to shoulders and flow for a moment.

Open Third Eye and Heart Chakras. Draw the CHO KU REI, SEI HE KI, and HON SHA ZEN SHONEN over their Third Eye and raise their hands so their fingertips contact the forehead at the Third Eye, and blow the symbols into the center of the chakra. Bend a bit lower, look through their arms, with your Third Eye contacting their Heart Chakra, trace CHO KU REI, SEI HE KI, and HON SHA ZE SHO NEN over into the heart chakra, and seal them in.

Open the hands. Bring their folded hands down and forward, and separate them to a little more than shoulder width, making very sure not to break physical contact with your friend at any time. Grasp their right wrist and with your dominant hand draw symbols as follows over the palm:

For a First Degree attunement, draw only CHO KU REI.

For a Second Degree attunement, draw CHO KU REI, SEI HE KI, and HON SHA ZEN SHONEN.

For a Master Attunement, draw CHO KU REI, SEI HE KI, HON SHA ZEN SHONEN, and DIA KO MIO.

After the drawing is complete, tap lightly on the palm, thrice. Repeat the same process for the left hand.

Close down. Flow Reiki for yourself and the client, and when you feel that you are flowing together, draw the CHO KUREI over the whole of the back again to seal the attunement. Then finally you draw the RAKU SERPENT-the Chaos Serpent- from the crown of the head to the sacrum, sending it's force deeply down into the Earth and permanently anchoring it there. Bring hands to rest again on their shoulders. Open the Circle.

It is done.
