| I personally find
it hard to imagine ThinkQuest without Grant. He was one of the most human
of people I have ever worked with, bringing a sense of compassion and understanding
to the many different people around the world who became part of the ThinkQuest
family. He had a natural instinct for doing "the right thing".
He was always mindful of the needs of the students, and was their champion
in all discussions. It is certainly true that we would not have the powerful
international ThinkQuest that we have today if it were not for Grant.

| Grant grasped what
made ThinkQuest unique, believed deeply in the value of the collaborations
it spawned - between children, among countries - and in the magic of its
ability to use technology to motivate children to engage in their own education.
Grant also understood what made the ThinkQuest community so special and
had the gifts to build and nurture that community. His patience, his charm,
his dogged determination, and most important, his unfailing belief in the
goodness of people made him the perfect maestro of this fascinating symphony
that is ThinkQuest. Dr. Steve Rappaport Director, Programs Advanced Network & Services |

| I won't forget Dr.
Grant's strength, passion and love for others. His vision of a better world
from education for present and future generations will remain in our hearts and our minds. I am glad to have known an extraordinary person, who taught us so much with his thoughts and actions. Paul Vargas Omar Dengo Foundation Costa Rica |
