Grandma says I am a handsome little blonde with hazel eyes, a cute little dimple in my right cheek, a nose that wiggles like a bunny and a smile that melts hearts. My story is: I was born in 1994. I am developmentally delayed and have no diagnosis for my low tone except BCH (Benign Congenital Hypotonia). In 2000 I was diagnosed with epilepsy. My seizures are controlled with medication. Also that year, I had surgery to release a tethered spinal cord.  School means a lot of therapy for me and Mom also takes me to private therapy sessions. She learned that animal therapy programs have been extraordinary in assisting children with disabilities to become more confident, physically fit, and happier. All kids are motivated by what they believe and perceive is most satisfying to them, least painful to them, or gives them a feeling of control over their environment. Complementary therapy has been added to my schedule and I find it to be all those things.
ICE CREAM is very important in my life. School is ok for the most part. There are fun kids at the babysitters and three big dogs. Therapy is a must not a hobby but my complementary therapies are pretty cool. I have massages, reflexology for my feet, music, water, and my two big favorites are my pony Queenie, and swimming with Fonzie, the dolphin, in Key Largo, FL.
Mom works, takes me to appointments, and does fun stuff with me too. She bakes great cookies and I love playing in her cookie dough. Aunt Amy and Grandma make soap they named  "Logans Lathers". We sell it to assist in funding my dolphin swim. Uncle Dennis makes adaptive equipment for me. He does a good job and it costs lots less. Grandpa, he buys me ice cream any time I want it.
