Bear Butte is located on Wyoming and South Dakota boarder. Magma in side the volacano is can never reach the surface. It 1,253 feet or 253 meters it is located 44.5n and 103.5w. Bear Butte is part linear belt it is located 60 miles west of Devil's Tower. Bear Butte east end reaches 6 miles across from the center.
