Mt. Saint Helens is one of the most
famous volcanos in history. It is located in Washington at about
46 degrees north and 122 degrees west. It was 9,677 feet before its
eruptions in 1980. Now it is 8,364 feet. Mt. Saint Helens was
awakend from slumber during the 1980 eruptions.
Scientists consider Mt. Saint Helens
to be yong. It is 40,000 years old. It went into slumber at
1857. Then over a hundred years later it erupted in 1980. Right
now scientist are noticing very steemy conditions on top of the mountain.
