What
are the Hazards of Volcanoes?
Volcanoes are benifical to humans but we think of them as dangerous
all the time. They give us fertile soil, alot of the minerals we
need, and they also look pretty. But they can also be dangerous when
there active, so alot of people ask were they should go, or what they should
do. They can damage people's homes and when the lava comes you can't stop
it. The ash that comes out of the volcano can also be a problem.
The ash gets in the air and you inhale to much of it you van die becasue
it clogs air from getting in.
What
causes a volcano to Erupt?
When the magma under the ground builds up enough presure, the magma will
rise to the top of the volcano. If there is alot of presure the magma will
shoot high into the air. But if there is not alot of presure the lava will
kind of just spill out. Sometimes while the volcano is erupting,
some of the loose rocks fly out of the volcano and sometimes hit people.
But if people are prepared and are somewhere safe like in a different town
that won't happen.
Signs
that a Volcano will Erupt.
Most volcanoes do someting before they actually erupt. Soemtimes a volcano
will make kind of an earthquake when the lava rises to the surface. Most
volcanoes that aqre going to blast show little or no sign of eruption.
Some change the weather and make it really hot, and even make springs really
hot. Magmatic eruptions, however, have magma that rises nto the surface.
