CRIPPLED AVENGERS
(or: Don't F#*k with the Blind Man)
People seem to either hate this movie or love it.  No in betweeners here!  The plot is simple: a father and son who just happen to be psychotic villain types, aided by their sleazy right hand man and various other nastys, pick on the wrong fellows.  Mayhem ensues.
If you are squeamish, just grit your teeth and hold on for the ride!  It will be worth your while!  OK, for the kung fu purists, the choreography is rehearsed, and the fight scenes owe more to Peking Opera than traditional martial arts.  Shelve that disbelief and just enjoy a group of extraordinary artists do what they do best!
And you know what?  Except for one obvious spot....Look Ma...No Wires!
Many thanks to Marla for the captures, more to come!
The gangs all here!
The legendary White Training Outfits!
Kuo Chui as Chen Sun:
The last thing he sees...
...And After:

It was Kuo Chui's understated performance as Chen Sun that made this movie for me.  He never broke character as the Blind Man.  Kuo proved himself a capable actor with Chen Sun's tightly controlled anger and quirky sense of humor.
The Fool...

Chiang Sheng's character was the most tragic of the group.  He was an idealistic young hero avenging a group of men he had just met.
In spite of losing his sanity and intelligence, Wang never lost his skills.  Chiang Sheng is thrilling  and awe-inspiring as the comic relief of the group!
Skin Flicks!

So, why were there so many shots of Lo Meng, stripped to the waist and thrusting his arm through a wheel of fire?  I don't know, but I ain't complainin'!
It was impressive seeing the DeafMan forge a bond of friendship with the Blind Man.
...just one more for the road...

I'll have more photos up soon, and I promise they won't all be of Kuo Chui!
