What are the Logan's Run Surface Dwellers?
The Surface Dwellers is a fun project I decided to take on, essentially a take on the Mego Star Trek Aliens line of toys, essentially a second series of aliens and monsters loosely based on the series. Mego took their liberties with the characters names and appearance to make then more "toyetic" and so shall I.
The series uses the 10" bodies that Mego used for their Logan's Run Prototypes except for our first figure:
Mego Alien Captive
Based on the Logan's Run Episode "The Collectors" this little guy didn't have much of a speaking part. I used an 8" body that works at making him shorter than the rest of the cast.
Mego Carousel Guard
Another "Man with no name" even though this technically was Francis under that mask, I chose the generic name "Carousel Guard"
The Protector
I finally went ahead and stole a show used name, "The Protector" was actually the zookeeper in "The Collectors" but i preferred to use it for this shadowy guy who saves the day in the end.
