| Being Visited (Reviews) Vin Scelsa WFUV-FM "Being Visited is by turns mysterious, seductive, surreal and spacy. It quivers in my ears like the soundtrack to a long lost Jim Jarmusch movie. Take equal parts Jim Hendrix, Patti Smith, James Joynce, Nat King Cole, Lou Reed, Horace Silver, Rickie Lee Jones, and John Lurie -- shake them all together downtown at 3 a..m. on a rainy night and that's kind of what Lo Galluccio sounds like. When I play Being Visited on my radio show, the airwaves shimmer." Musica Tutto, Italy "Testi surreali, musiche raffinatissime ed evanescenti tra recitativi in forma poetic (These Diamonds are my Very, Being Visited), brani jazzati (Creamsplit), ballate visionarie (Smog in Athens) e infine la bellisima Queen of Mars che recita nel crescendo finale in Italiano: "luce luce stai nella luna." In Being Visited si incontrano l'eleganza di Joni Mitchell e l'intensita di Patti Smith. E in piu, una incredibile cover di Pale Blue Eyes del Velvet Underground, mentra nell' album tributo a Marc Bolan, Lo rifa una stralunatissima Cosmic Dancer. Magico. Darius James, author, Blaxploitation "Lo Galluccio is one of the world's remarkable gifts -- a poet-vocalist of haunting, innovative and singular talent. She reminds me of a Patti Smith or the multi-voiced jazz vocalist Jayne Cortez. The brazen originality of her lyrics are written with the acuity and imagistic flair of the accomplished poet. With the intensity and imagination of a lover's passion, glazed over with luminous intelligence, Lo writes the kind of songs that deoncstruct the heart, the mind, the loiins. Her songs shatter the soui and rearrange the fragments in angelic forms. Quite simply, Lo is a genius." Zine, Horace Mulligan Red Issue 4 from Knitting Factory performance "The girl was Lo Galluccio. She was disturbed, but she was also cute and skinny. She wore one of those things on her head (bindhi) like no doubt. All her songs annoyed me, except the end of the show. Looking back, I like the show a lot. Anyway, at her second to last song, she took her sweater off and she was wearing this half falling off thing and no bra! Then she said that she was going to play her favorite Velvet Underground song. It was awesome. She was swaying and the music was all mellow but with an edge, and they jammed and they were having a lot of fun. The whole band was smiling and dancing, for a little while they were perfect...."
