Outlook: It hasn't been an easy transition for the Gladiators since moving up from Class 3A in 1998. The team is 2-20 in the Three Rivers and is coming off the first winless season since the program started in 1966. Mott said the attitude is improved but the team still lacks experience.

"We had so much adversity last year, we didn't take those steps to grow that we needed," Mott said. "We're kind of like a year behind, unfortunately, with this group of seniors."
