how do trades work?
The main purpose of the list is the seasonal organized trade, although we do encourage you to arrange private individual trades as well as other specialized trades. For example, right now we have a trade going for paper dolls.How the seasonal trade works is this. We set a theme, and then allow a period of time in which people can sign up. It is best if the trade caps at about 15 people; otherwise it is difficult making that many copies of a book and mailing it. Once a trade is full, the organizer sets a deadline and provides his or her address and the amount in postage that should be mailed along with the books. Then it is up to the participant to make 14 copies of his or her book, and to mail those along with the postage amount, to the organizer by the deadline specified.
Once the organizer has received all the trades, s/he will make packages for each of the participants which contain one of each book, excluding the original participant's book, and then mail the package to the participant.
