Notes about the banknote:
This note carries the portrait of Tuanku Imam Bondjol, a pre-independence hero from the Bondjol region in Sumatra. His name literally means "The Honorable Imam from Bondjol". He led a religious movement against the local rulers who sided with the Dutch in the 19th century.

The back of the note portrays a local Sumatra woman weaving using a traditional machine.

This note has a fancy serial number.
