| Qualifying format: Driver�s official qualifying time will be the best time out of 10 laps run on the WHITE lane. Qualifying order will be the inverted finishing order of the previous race with new or absent drivers qualifying last. Qualifying points will be awarded as follows: 1st Place 5 2nd Place 3 3rd Place 1 Race format: Races will be run in heats. Each driver will run one heat on each lane. If more than four drivers enter a race, each driver will still run one heat on each lane but will sit out the appropriate number of heats. Drivers will select their lane rotation according to how they qualified with the top qualifier having first choice. Drivers may not work on their cars during �sit-out� heats. Drivers who are sitting out will serve as turn marshals during those heats. Each heat will last 3 minutes. Drivers may work on their cars between heats. Race points will be awarded as follows: 1st Place 50 5th Place 30 9th Place 15 2nd Place 45 6th Place 25 10th Place 15 3rd Place 40 7th Place 20 11th Place 15 4th Place 35 8th Place 15 12th Place 15 If there is a tie for position at the end of the night, a tiebreaker heat will be run. Lane choice will be determined according to the qualifying results. If there is a tie for the championship at the end of the season, a tiebreaker race will be run. The tied competitors will run a regular 4-heat race according to the normal format to break the tie. Cars: All cars are subject to tech inspection prior to each race. Cars will be impounded after tech inspection until after qualifying. If any issues arise during or as a result of tech inspection or any other racing situation, the issue(s) will be resolved by group vote. Tech inspection will include but is not limited to the following criteria: 1. Only Life-Like or Tyco 440-X2 chassis will be allowed. Chassis must remain in stock condition. For Tyco 440-X2 chassis, the only one that will work with the required body is the �WIDE� or �PAN� chassis. 2. All cars must run a complete NASCAR style plastic Life-Like or Tyco sedan body (Monte Carlo, Taurus, Intrepid, Grand Prix, etc.) with a number designation on the roof and both doors at all times. Lexan bodies will not be allowed. Bodies may be lowered and lightened. Lowered bodies must have wheel wells that do not cut into the hood area, rear deck area or rear windows. Bumpers may not be removed. Lightening must not include removal of body parts or windows. 3. Rear track width must not exceed 1-7/16 inches and will be checked using the track tech tool. 4. All cars must run only one guide pin and it must be in the stock location. 5. Magnets must be stock Life-Like or Tyco magnets. Additional magnets will not be allowed. For Tyco 440-X2, you may run �reverse zap� traction magnets. 6. All cars must run 4 tires at all times. Rear tires must be slip-ons. 7. All cars must start the race in the exact condition in which they qualified. Chassis and motor (armature and magnets) may not be changed during the race. All other parts may be interchanged during the race. |
