Locust Hill, the J.E.M. O'Hair house, was constructed between 1834 and 1846. The original land grant for the property is signed by President Andrew Jackson. Locust  Hill has been visited by Squire Boone and his wife, William Henry Harrison, and Chief Cornstalk of the Miama indian tribe.  Both federal troops and confederate prisoners were camped there during the civil war.

The home has witnessed several unusual events throughout its history, all user friendly.  There appeared two ladies dressed in the style of the 1800's, a confederate officer was seen in an upstairs dormer window (witnessed by some 28 people) and the smell of cooking breakfast was observed when there was no one in the kitchen.

Visit Locust Hill for a step back in time.
