Train Electronic
Systems
LocoTronics new concepts - currently in development.
Anticipated products - - during the Year 2000.
Advanced microcontroller based electronic systems for Train applications.
Product #1 A microcontroller based Locomotive Telemetry System
Both Marklin and Fleischman have delivered this product.
These two German Companies have produced a( Marklin )Standard Design Measurement Car / Tachowagon (Fleischman ); a car/wagon with a digital read out showing:-
- The route distance
in HO scale
- The average
speed in HO scale
- The route in
HO scale
- The highest
speed in HO scale
- Total distance
travelled in HO scale
- The HO scale
travelling time
- The real time
1:1 scale.
LocoTronics plans going better!!!
The current product being developed will provide all these features, but with a difference :-
-It will provide
this information for all scales -- Z to 0. User programmable.
- It will use
a Measurement Car, containing sensors, but the train data will
be transmitted
to a static base station.
- It will collect
data on multiple trains that are each pulling a Measurement Car.
Possible additional features
- Effective traction
and loading of locomotive in scale
- Current and
voltage data of the locomotive
Product #2 Train Automation Microcontroller System
Simple - user programmable -- Train Automation
Controller.
A central consul will provide full central
located electronics, to control
multiple trains, on complex layouts.
With full feature automation functions.
Including:-
* Infra Red train detection electronics
* A LocoTronics new concept Flash
Frequency
train detection electronics
* Power electronics auto SOFT stop/start control
* Point and Signal Control with full block - multi train operations
* Reversing loops. Station Stops
* Simple installation
Product #3 Electronic Loco Controllers with Microprocessor Data Monitoring
Features found
within the Telemetry System ( see above ) to be incorporated into Electronic
Locomotive Speed Controllers.
