Controllers for 2, 3 and 4  Aspect Colour Signals

The diagram above shows four  4 - aspect colour signals -- working a four section block configuration.
Each signal has a associated Electronic Controller  and a Train Detector.

The Soft Start/Stop Electronic Controller could be positioned within this configuration -- to provide train stop/start operations at each block.

The sequence of aspect changes on each of the four signals is shown in the next diagram
