Last months excursion to The Wattagans.

After meeting nice and early at the Centre 15 children joined us for a 4wd trip out to the Wattagan Forest to learn to appreciate the importance of our natural environment. The children thoroughly enjoyed the trip with an lovely picnic lunch at Heaton's lookout (pictured left). Some of the concepts the children where taught include the value of the forests, how to take care of our forests, the importance of recycling and many other environmentally friendly ideas. In the afternoon the children played around in the forest reserve surrounding Boarding House Dam. Then finally the drive home where lots of very tired children got the ch ance to rest.
