| You know the expression blackball. Well this is where it came from...or so they said. This device was used to select jurors for a trial. If you got a black ball, in your slot, you weren't needed for the trial. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| This is the ideal invention for America. Two of these pots were used. Water was placed in one and allowed to drain into the other. The amount of time it took for the water to drain was the amount of time a person had to present their case in court. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
