Northern Greece
Stairs wind their way up to one of the monasteries at Meteora.  Some of us would have enjoyed the challenge of rock climbing or pulling ourselves up in a basket.
This is a look straight down over the edge from atop one of the lower monasteries.
Emily and Lindsey at Varlaam.  The girls were not allowed to wear pants in the monastery, but were issued a skirt to wear over their pants at the entrance.

The Meteora rocks stand like a rocky forest on the edge of the plain of Thessaly.
