The Sea The sun shone down as the sun will do, From a morning sky of azure blue, And children played on the golden sand By the shore of a silver sea. The moon shone down as the moon will do, And children grew as children do, Now lovers walk on the golden sand At the edge of a dark blue sea. Life went on as life will do, And lovers wed as lovers do, They built a home near the golden sand, At the edge of the vast, vast sea. The wind did blow, as the wind will do, And an angry storm no mercy knew, And a ship was lost, and a lover too, To the depths of the cold gray sea. The stars shone down as stars will do, And a heart did ache, as hearts will do, Now alone she walks on the golden sand, At the edge of the cruel dark sea. Years went by, as years will do, And her heart grew cold, as some hearts do, Never another walked by her side At the edge of the merciless sea. The sun shone down, as the sun will do, From a morning sky of azure blue, And ashes were sprinkled on the morning tide, They calmed the angry sea. |

| The Fog The fog engulfs the soul of me, On a cool summers night As I walk by the sea, I can feel it, touch it, taste it, The salt upon my face, And I becaome a part of it, Of this enchanted place, This world of shadows, And ocean sounds, Where no one knows it's me, Just a shadow without a name, Lost in the fog by the sea. |
