Class/Type: Hitman

Medical Aptitude- Shadow Star is pretty much self-taught healer, as hes had to fix himself numerous times. Hes horrifyingly unlucky.

Hunted- Shadow Star recently found out that Death Jester is hunting him

Primary Weapon:
Shadow Bomb Buster One on each hand (like a plasma buster on a normal reploid), Shadow Stars custom weapon is to fire off explosive bombs at various degrees of intensity. Almost always they leave behind a degree of smoke and grime, making them great distractions against heavily armored opponents and are powerful enough to be lethal for average or light-armored opponents. These weapons are spheroid and solid in nature, and are constructed and fired out of his arm cannon. They have a medium range when fired, or they can be physically thrown as far as necessary. They can also be set to explode on impact or set to a timer, although the timer bombs take longer to create (so they cant be fired successively).

Secondary Weapons:
None

Accessories
Med-pack- Shadow Star has an emergency medical pack in the compartment of his leg. This is mostly to treat his own wounds (He gets hurt quite a bit Karma hates him), however they can be used to patch up a fellow Merc if necessary.

Special Abilities:
Backup OS This is a feature that exists in all Metal Star reploids, although is normally not accessible. When the Main OS is supposedly knocked out, or the reploid has taken to much damage, a Backup OS is supposed to emerge and let the Metal Star reploid limp to safety. It has a greatly reduced reasoning ability and runs on a bare-bones system that worries only about its own safety, although there are exceptions programmed in depending if anyone in the area has been previously marked by the Main OS as a High Priority. Because there is less thinking involved, more processing power is allocated to the fighting abilities, turning a Metal Star reploid on the Backup OS into a much fiercer fighter able to take full advantage of their quick reflexes and reploid strength (although not able to take advantage of advanced tactics that have been learned by the Main OS through experience). This system has never started up correctly before (it never would trigger when the Main OS was involuntarily shut down), however Shadow Stars did with a little help from one of his previous weapons, the Duo Hand. Since he lost the Duo Hand, he has yet been in a situation to see if the Backup OS would ever trigger again.

Star Mode- Shadow Stars design is like all Metal-Star reploids, and he has the ability to transform his body into a gigantic, star-shaped object. This can then be spun at high speeds creating a buzzsaw affect, or be used to travel wide distances easily and travel up walls. In this mode Shadow Star sees by way of an internal radar, so he wont run smack dab into poles or something (which would, regrettably, have been more funny).

Appearance:
Shadow Stars most striking feature is his pupil-less black eyes, which are a design defect (but see perfectly fine). His hair is jet black and short and spiked. He stands roughly six feet tall, and is always in his battle armor because its designed so that its his skin (Thats the only way the transformation abilities could work). His battle armor is black with gold trimmings, and he has extended shoulder and hip pads that become the points of his star-mode (the fifth point comes up from his back and covers his head). The only synthetic skin is located on his face, and it is fairly pale.

Personality:
Shadow Star is, first and foremost, a con artist. Instead of fighting hell look for the easiest way out of a situation, with minimal bloodshed on his part. As a factory-produced reploid, he is forced to use his brain because he lacks the power more unique reploids take for granted. That being said, he (and most Metal-Stars, actually) bears a bit of resentment towards unique reploids out of jealousy. Shadow Star is also a cynic from having lived his life as Gods Hacky Sack, though his misfortune is probably just Karma getting him back for all his double-crosses and other misdeeds.

Shadow Star isnt too disposed to helping out people he doesnt know, but will go out of his way for someone hes positively disposed towards (As long as it presents a low risk for him). If Shadow Star helps someone hell usually expect a favor in return, or some monetary compensation. Itd be interesting to know just HOW many favors he has owed to him

History:
Shadow Star has quite an extensive history before joining the Freelance Reploids. Hes been a mercenary for a very long time and has had a wide variety of adventures. Built before the Third Maverick War, Shadow Star is your standard mass-produced reploid from Metal Star Inc., a reploid-producing company nestled deep within the Midwest of America. Shadow Star was originally a fairly well adjusted individual, but due to some incident while a Maverick Hunter he became jaded and began shutting people out of his life. On what was to be his last Hunter mission he met a mercenary called Death Jester who coerced him into stealing some sensitive information from the Hunters. Death Jester and Shadow Star acted as a Mercenary team for a long time, until the unstable Death Jesters mind finally deteriorated. Death Jester, driven insane by another mercenary called MCR, tried to kill Shadow Star (and very nearly did!).

Shadow Star survived, but was badly shaken by the experience. Death Jester remained on the loose, so he decided to flee town and do some mercenary work by himself for a while. Eventually he stumbled across the Freelance Reploids and joined up with them. While at the Freelance Reploids, Shadow Star discovered the dark core that powered a fellow merc Zeo Grey, and tried to take steps to counteract it. In his search, ancient rouge programming eventually took temporary control over him, an experience that left him with a weapon called the Duo Hand. It was powered by light energy, the same way Zeo Greys Dark Core was powered by dark energy, and also affected Shadow Stars decisions and mental state the very same way Zeos Dark Core affected Zeo.

Lately, Shadow Star lost the Duo Hand to a raiding party sent by Morn of the BioSyn Company. Hes also saved Lumina, last of the genetically engineered Lupine race with the help of Zenith, who he has been partnered up with as of late.
