Character Name: "Cho", Crystal-Hex Prototype

Species: Race: Syngent (synthetically and genetically hybredized sentient)

Gender: Female

Age: 6 months

Class/Type: Assassin, Ninja

Concept: Fighter, Competitor, Socialite

Advantages:
Elemental Invulnerability: Laser

Elemental Absorption: Laser

Ambidextrous-

Kung Fu-

Daredevil-

Street Smarts-

Disadvantages.
Overconfident- To quote a report from the technicians that designed her: "She is consumed by conquest, and careless of consequence." Cho won't back down from a challenge (or a chance to gloat).

Short Fuse- Cho is a bit too spunky, and entirely ignorant of appropriate social behavior. Someone needs to explain to her that a punch to the head does not constitute "small talk."

Hunted- Cho's creaters have determined her unstable (a reasonable assumption, really). They're looking for mercs to bring her in while they decide what to do with her...

Malfuntion: "Overload Enigma" When Crystal-Hex armor power reserves are full, surplus energy introduced into the system will cause surges of uncontrollable muscle tension throughout the body. Further exposure will cause minor nerve and tissue damage and eventually unconciousness. If energy is absorbed after this point the crystal armor will destabilize and shatter, sending thousands of shards of exploding crystal-energy flying in all directions.

Primary Weapon:
Laser Blades- Two curved beams that extend from behind the elbow over the outstretched hand. These blades are purely heat energy and have no force-field component as they are meant to be used in conjunction with open handed combat techniques.

Secondary Weapons:
Ray Grenades- Crystal-energy pulses fired from the harness launcher. These "grenades" will release beams of laser energy in the direction of up to six locked targets (each target requires one half second for lock and charge). This is used primarily to destroy small targets (projectiles) or to harass oponents. Ray Grenades cannot be fired while boosting is active, or if the harness is not worn.

Blinding Lance*- Crystal's most dangerous weapon consumes 1/6 of her crystal energy reserves to generate. The bladed lance will pierce all but the most resilient materials, and can be thrown like a javelin or slashed like a sword. It will lock up with force fields and cut through weak metals as if it were a beam saber; if bent or struck sideways against strong metals, the lance will break.

Glare Bombs*- Baseball shaped bombs of crystal energy made only for breaking as opposed to piercing. Consumes the same amount of power and produces the same overall destructive force as a Blinding Lance; however they produce multi directional Shatter Blasts and can be thrown with greater accuracy and distance.

Accessories:
Booster Harness- The booster harness' versatile set of thrusters allow for enhanced mobility. They can be used to run fast, jump high, hike walls, dive, flip, spin, and float (and when I say float I mean "fall slowly").

Special Abilities:
Regenerative Armor*- The armor is made of crystalized energy, the properties of which lie somewhere between that of a force feild and actualy matter. The materialization of the armor takes about 3 seconds, and will drain about 1/3 of her energy (more as it repairs itself). When not in use, the Crystal Energy reserves can be fully charged in twelve minutes. It is possible to charge Crystal Energy while the armor is active, however it requires an external power source.

*Shatter Blast- Whenever the crystal energy armor is struck with significant force, shards of crystal energy fly off and create deadly bursts of heat. While Glare bombs are designed specifically for this effect, it also applies to Blinding Lances, making them effective for one-time blows against heavily armored opponents.

Appearance:
Crystal is a girl whose body has been designed with incredible strength, flexibility, and balance. She has bright aubern hair, B-cup breasts, a gentle but definite curve to the body, and sparkling green eyes. Standing at 5' 11" tall, she has thick smooth muscles and hands. Her eyebrows are reddish blonde, and look like flecks of shadow on her flushed cream and honey colored skin. Her face is carefully featured, not angular but dramatic and expressive, with delicate eyelashes and subtle lips. The whimsicle waves of her hair are puncuated by sudden, unexpected ringlets.

Her battle gear is black, white, and green, and consists of gauntlets, greaves, and the booster harness. When the Crystal-Hex armor is active, she is covered from head to foot with glowing green armor. The armor will form around whatever she is wearing in addition the her battle suit, although it may vaporize baggy bits of cloth.

Personality:
Bold, blunt, and vigorous. Crystal is wary but not at all reserved... she won't go out of her way to question something, prefering to deal with any problems or uncertainty on the spot. This makes her good at quick, necessary decisions, but fairly poor at thinking things through when the time is available. She has a difficult time knowing what to do with herself without a mission to accomplish. Likewise, she has a tendency to be rather aggressive about her goals...

History:
Cho is part of a race of beings called syngents, created by the organic and cybernetic manipulation of human embryos at the cellular level. This process rapidly accelerates the growth of the embryo, and the resulting "syngent" reaches it's full size in a matter of months. From there, developement of the brain is enhanced systematically by exposing the semi-concious syngent to the apropriate stimuli. Once the desired skills are transferred to the grown syngent, regulation of bodily functions is transfered to the concious brain. Although awakening as an adult, the subjects personality and maturity tend to be underdeveloped. Additionally, syngent's require a unique dietary supplement to maintain their enhanced abilities and overall health. Such abilities typically include superior physical and regenerative capabilities**, as well as a nearly impervious immune system**.

During the period where Cho's mental processes were being developed, she lived and acted instinctively, being trained how to fight and adapt to situations without her concious awareness. She remembers very little from this period of her life, only vague recollections of the faces of scientists and a someone she believes to be a prototype like herself. Although aware of her status as an experimental humanoid, Cho knows very little about her differences from humans and cyborgs.

Her first memories are of a demolished laboratory, where she awakened to find the bodies of several scientists. Confused and without direction, she quickly ran into trouble with investigating law enforcement, and has been on the move for several weeks.

Due to the influence of ethical and political objections to their research, the company responcible for the "Crystal-Hex" project has been working in secret, . Based on reports concerning her agressiveness (reports which were subsequently ingored to further the project), they suspect that Cho is responcible for the destruction of the lab. In order to deal quietly with the situation, they've put out a price for her return. They want her brought in before their investors consider the dangers of a mentally unstable syngent.

Cho herself does not know if the lives of those scientists rest on her hands. She only knows that the thrill of combat draws her inexplicably...

Notes:
**A few extra tidbits about Syngents: Their healing capabilities can repair any wound as long as the cardiovascular and nueral systems mostly functional. Severe damage to either of these systems can be repaired by immersing the Syngent in a nutrient bath tailored specificly to their biological needs.

There is a special biosynthetic unit in each syngent called a Sync (synbiosis core) that regulates the symbiotic relationship between their biological and technological components. It also backs up their nueral patterns; although a Syngent can survive if this unit is damaged, most of their special capabilities will not function properly, and they will be unable to regenerate their heart or brain.

Cho's Synbiosis Core is located near the brain stem, and is intigrated into her subconcious brain.

Syngents respond to powerful computer viruses (ei: maverick virus) the same way they respond to deadly diseases: the infected synthetic/organic units in their body will be quarentined and cured or replaced. Most of the time the Syngents' symptoms are comparable to a common cold, however if the brain is infected they will experience feverous hallucinations as it is being disinfected.
