Neither Draco or the stranger cloaked in darkness noticed another creature buried in the shadows. As each made their way back to their beds, it carefully chose which one to follow. Padding silently after the cloaked stranger it was neither seen nor heard. It followed down many corridors and up many stairs. Slowly, silently, Jesse the Cat stalked his enemy with utmost care. It wouldn't help him or his mistress to be caught.
With an eerie intelligence he knew that this was relevant to his Willow. He clung to the shadows that surrounded the hooded figure. His keen eyesight could not quite define the features hidden under the hood. The stranger paused, as did Jesse, as there came a quite scuffle from a corner.
Jesse's eyes darted toward it. He sensed some beings hidden there. Deciding that making his presence known now might save some young hogwart students their lives he scuttled forward, trying to catch the cloaked stranger's attention before it could focus it's attention on the two students currently hidden under an invisibility cloak. The stranger's eyes glimpsed the cat and hissed a sibilant command. Jesse shrieked in pain as electric shudders ran through his body.
The dark curled round the spellcaster and he appeared to meld away, leaving Jesse meowing in pain. As soon as the coast was clear the two students made their way to Jesse and picked him up. Ron cast Harry a worried look, "It's never boring around here." Harry shrugged before picking up the cat and heading back towards their dorm.
