So tonight Anna and I set out on a mission, a surprise ambush of Wes and Jordan while they were trapped in a bamboo cage at the POW camp. We set out for downstairs at 1 am, carrying my cell only so we could call B and ask him to DD for more drunks because that was his night. But before we got past Lizzybeth in the upstairs lobby, B is calling my cell to ask our help on a brand new mission. We must distract the enemy RAs while they sneak a very very very drunk pledge into his dorm. After accessing the situation (the poor thing couldn't even stand yet...) we wait with B by the chick car and finally go into Langdale to talk to Eileen (RA) about soccer, while 4 guys and one chick pull another boy into his room...yea, that was slick yall. Mission accomplished. Parting ways, B heads off to meet more drunks in Valdosta and Anna and I do the "Hocus Pocus" walk to West Hall. Since we are such poor quality of spies, we never enquired before hand as to where this camp would be set up around West Hall, just assumed we would be able to ambush it. We were wrong. As we rounded the corner, Jordan, some other ROTC dude, the cop, and Wesley, aka monkey boy in the cage, all stared at the 2 giggling girls, probably the only people to be near that end of campus since 10 pm at least. Okay, scratching the ambush plan, we decide on the next best thing...run at Wes in a cage! Of course, Jordan tries to intercept our attack, then every ROTC tells me Wes can't talk to me, and Wes tries to eat our legs and pull us into the cage with him, and the normal chaos ensues. But soon, they let Wes out of his cage and I get a phone call. So I'm off to the side, talking nicely to my friend Steve, when there's a Wes flying at my legs! I jump out of the way in time, but next there's a Jordan, and then just won't stop until I get off the phone and play tag! And then I met my new buddy the cop. So during this rigorous game of tag on the front lawn of campus, I decided I don't want to be tagged again, so I go to my own "base", the VSU policeman sitting on the flower planter. That was the beginning of a beautiful friendship. I made fun of his job and the fact that he was saving Middle Earth on a GameBoy, he questioned how I came to be out of bed at 2 am, I talked about my unfortunate association to Wes and Jordan, we both made fun of them. It was a lovely chat. Then the rest of the gang realized that games are just no fun without Caragh and joined me and my buddy the cop. So of course, Jordan has to bring up psycho (refer to subpage "Blind date from hell") and then I have to explain to cop about this horrible date and in the process, I offend him, because by my standards, he is old (28) and has a 2 year old that he doesn't see much. Umm, sorry Mr. Cop, but you can't be offended by my story, because it was about the horrible boy as a whole, not just those two factors. So after I explained that, he forgave me and we started making fun of Wes and Jordan again. (You should try it, it's a great way to connect people!) By the time we had to leave because it was super duper late, I felt a real connection with my cop who claims he keeps all of VSU safe just by sitting in that one spot on Main Campus' lawn. But how do I know he was lying? Because the second we rounded the corner of West Hall, I was attacked by Jordan, and no matter how much I was screaming for help, my buddy never came running! So the next time there's a murder in the Fine Arts building or a rape at the UU, you will know it's because my un-buddy the cop thinks his job is to sit on the main lawn and look pretty while talking to ROTC boys and insomniac chicks. It's a shame the people we trust these days...
