Dorm Drama
Like any other Friday night in Valdosta, Langdale Hall (my dorm) became the center of all drama possible.  Lizzy, Anna, and I were all exhausted so after dinner at the Loop with Trey and Luther and an invite to a TKE party, we went back to our room to chill and use our computers. (Yes, my new roommate is an internet nerd like me...)  But before Anna could escape her dorm, Moira caught her with a request of checking in Tyler (they had more lads than girls getting high in that hall...) and being the overly nice lady she is, she abided with their request.  Now, this doesn't seem like a problem, but just wait until I get to about 3 am...it equals drama.  Back in our room, we passed the time getting Anna drunk (well, we didn't have much alcohol left over and it takes the least to get her drunk, so we just gave it all to us and entertained ourselves!) and talking on the phone lots.  Around 1 am, we are visiting neighbors and Courtney starts parading the hall in just her bra, talking about how everyone is a bitch.  Well, this is normal drunk Court behavior, but the we find out from her roommate  that she is really pissed off because Katie (roomie) won't sleep on their neighbor Whitney's floor while Court has a booty call...the 2nd of the night.  Katie is supposed to be driving Courtney and Whitney to Athens early the next morning, so it's legitamate that she wants plenty of sleep in her own bed, but Courtney is upset that we are talking about this and slams the room door, locking Katie out.  For 30 minutes, the girls are pounding on the door, calling Courtney's cell and the dorm phone, slipping notes under the door (Courtney started that one with a pleasant suggestion for Katie to "fuck off"), and singing "the song that never ends" to no avail...Finally Katie gave up and got an RA to let her into the room, took her key, and was promptly locked out again by Courtney.  Yes, college kids are this childish...So assuming this drama was basically over, Anna heads back to her hall and tries to get Tyler to check out because she must leave early in the morning for a car wash and knows he won't wake up then.  Seeing as they are in my old neighbors room (and I was continuously complaining to them for the noise at 4 and 5 am...) we did not expect for all of them to be sufficiently passed out at 3 am.  Anna is still tipsy and not wanting to deal with this, so I go over and try to pull Tyler out of bed.  But he is drunk and mad as hell and won't get up.  After about 10 minutes the friend visiting him gets up to help me and we finally convince him of why he needs to get up.  I'm pulling on his arm to get him off the bed and he pops open an eye to glare at me. "Seriously Caragh, you don't want to be touching me right now.  All you have to say is 'Tyler, will you please get up" and I will."  Umm, no sir, that's what 2 of us have been doing for 10 minutes...That problem solved, it's back to our own hall to be confronted by Katie and Whitney.  Courtney got horribly pissed that Katie was back in the room, so she packed her bag, declared her hate for everyone, and stormed off to drive herself to Athens.  And they didn't try to stop her...are all sorority sisters that loving of each other?  Well anyway, she called Casey after about 15 minutes to say she is on the highway and wondering if she packed her makeup...and this morning Whitney called to let me know by some miracle Courtney had survived the drive...only falling asleep twice at the wheel!  There's just one thing to say about college life, the fabulous quote from How to lose a guy in 10 days..."Drama, drama, drama..."
