Regency Corset

I made this corset to go underneath the Regency Gown I made. I worked 20+ hours on this piece. Majority of the time was spent cording the corset with large hemp cord. All the eyelets are hand sewn. There is a slot in the front for a wooden busk to be slipped in. This style of corset was not meant to take in the waist, but rather work like a modern push-up bra to raise the breasts and emphasize the new high waist of dresses.

materials: cotton muslin, hemp cording, wooden busk, cotton cord
